February 2010 Meeting
Alan presented, "Flyabout", a video about flying in Australia.
Flyabout is a heartfelt, personal story of a young woman who gets a pilot's license and inspires her father
to do the same. Together with him, she follows her dream to fly a plane around the continent of Australia.

July Featured Speaker Bill McClure, a Captain of Jet Airways India, will talk about his flying experiences and aircraft restoration.
Owner of aircraft ranging from a Staggerwing to Aeroncas, modern Beech, etc.
A&P 15 years, IA for three +, ATP, CFI. Currently maintaining half a dozen aircraft.

Arlo Gambell, Senior Aviation Meteorologist, will give a presentation on "Flying with Datalink Weather: Uses and Limitations of Cockpit Weather Data" In 2004 Arlo received an award for outstanding contributions to aviation safety from the NASA Aviation & Security Program

April Speaker

Bob Richards the author of "Secrets from the Tower" gave an excellent narrative of the life at an air traffic control tower. His anecdotes about air traffic control at one of the world's busiest airports was very entertaining. He also told of the fast paced, high- pressure life of an air traffic controller and how that lifestyle affects a man and his family.

March Speaker
Bill Guenon, a former Air Commando Pilot gave a slide presentation and eyewitness account of the secret humanitarian mission in 1970. Bill was one of the air commando pilots who flew the amazing 'C-130' aircraft on the edge of a stall, at night, while leading six helicopters in close formation deep into North Vietnam for a daring rescue attempt of POWs being held in the shadows of Hanoi.
